Plant Care

Rule of Green Thumb
To water houseplants effectively, thoroughly soak the soil until water drains from the bottom, then allow the excess water to drain away, and water when the top inch or two of soil feels dry. Read more below on different watering techniques.
Deep Watering
Instead of shallow, frequent watering, aim for deep watering, where you saturate the soil until water starts to drain from the bottom of the pot.
Bottom Watering
Consider bottom watering, where you place the pot in a tray of water and allow the plant to absorb water from the bottom. Top Watering:If top watering, water slowly and evenly, allowing water to reach the roots.
When to Water
Check the Soil: Before watering, stick your finger into the soil to a depth of about an inch or two. If the soil feels dry, it's time to water.

Frequency: Watering frequency depends on factors like plant type, pot size, light exposure, and the time of year.
